And, does anyone know if the exhaust slipon's on a 900ss and an st4 are the same? I'm thinking the 900ss ones might be a bit thinner, but I can't find measurements anywhere. I would need to pop some standard pipes on the ss for it's mot and have my original st4 set. Thanks
Don’t let no standard exhausts put you off a purchase. If not cosmetically perfect, you can pick these up inexpensively. You could also fit db killers to the loud pipes for mot as an alternative
St cans are a good bit longer. I had an ST4S and they had a bend at the join, never would've fitted my SS. Loud is good, never had a problem with my loud bikes at various MOT tester. Maybe they aren't loud enough
Hi, thanks for the comments. I wasn't exactly honest about the reason for the original question. Lets just say that I live in London and my old ST4 was made ulez compliant by having additional cats fitted in each of the pipes. I was hoping the st4 pipes would fit the above 900ss and save me £500 in additional costs.
I concur that as an ex SSIE owner and previous & current 900SL owner the SSIE could never be called cute imo which is a shame as they sort of based it on the supermono fairing style, just not very well.
The earlier ('91-'97) 900cc bike is ULEZ compliant. The CoC Ducati sent me shows 0.08 NOx. I can't imagine the '98 on model would be any worse.
