1200 Lhs Switchgear

  1. Anyone any experience of LHS switchgear going completely dead? Nothing at all working?

  2. Loom pulled out of the housing when on full lock because the loom is too tight? Give the loom a push into the switchgear.

  3. No plug on the switchgear. Ill have to trace the wire the other way for the plug when i can strip panels off.

  4. Where the wires connect its very very easy for water to ingress. It's front of tank , left side. Sometimes you can get to it by just removing the black trim. Might be worth looking in the connector block for corrosion.

  5. You may be right. It has developed the odd moment of partial working!

  6. Oh yes there is! The switchgear has a socket deep within. The loom has a plug that you probably cannot see, but which can start to work its way out of its socket if the loom is tight and you put the steering onto full lock. Grasp the loom near the switchgear and push it into the switchgear. See attached photo. You can just see the pins in the socket.

  7. Turns out the plug under the tank had come loose. All sorted now cheers
