Newbie (almost On The Block)

  1. Well, after years of dreaming and months of idle internet surfing, I have finally bitten the bullet, and paid a deposit on a very nice, pre-enjoyed 1260 Pikes Peak. I did originally have outline permission to have a second bike, but once I started to seriously look, the domestic Secretary of State rescinded that permission, and granted permission of having only the one bike.
Consequently, I stopped looking at diavels, and concentrated on looking for a mulitstrada as a suitable allrounder instead. The 2 days i have to commute to work are a lovely mix of country lanes, B roads and a couple of fast A roads. I haven't even test ridden the PP, just sat in the showroom making broom broom noises...and then paid a deposit. Already requested a couple of extras (Urban accessory pack, additional led lights, and Denali sound bomb). On my current ride (Honda CBF1000) I fitted a sound bomb, and just love waking up the bleary eyed, myopic drivers who clog up our roads. Only the other day, I had reason to toot melodiously, and I am sure the driver had to return home to change their underwear... Anyway, I can't wait for my new toy to arrive, feeling like a kid in the run up to Xmas, looking forward to many (s)miles ahead. How's that for an intro for a newbie?

  5. Welcome to the forum.:)

  6. Nice one Tarquin. Which dealer did you get it from? If it doesn't have the full system, think about getting one, as it seriously transforms the bike. If your wife won't let you have two bikes, you may as well go all out on this one!

  7. Forgot your bin picture :D

    welcome into our mad house

  8. Can we get a 'current points' count on your license.

    welcome tarquin

  9. Moto Rapido Winchester, not a full Termi system (yet), already trading in bike and selling car! Hopefully I can keep a clean licence..(37 years clean and counting - only the one speed awareness course so far)...

  10. Greetings!
