Placed and order for a V4S a few weeks ago and was pleased to add the 'free' £1500 of accessories. Today I received a call to spend more as the voucher has increased in value to £2000.......Result!
Bollocks! I wish I’d waited a bit longer before agreeing the purchase of mine. I was told the promotion was finishing at the end of September so I had to act quickly to take advantage of it.
I’ll give it a go but I’m sure they will deny they knew about it in advance. Probably too late now sadly
Reply was pretty much as expected, and a bit less sympathetic that I thought it could be. Chris……………………….nothing personal old bean, that’s life…………..sometimes you win and on very rare occasions you win a little more…….. These numbers are not controlled by us……………….. and we don’t sell crystal balls either…………..yet anyway !!
For anyone looking to go for this deal, make sure the dealer agrees to fit whatever you choose f.o.c. Some dealers will charge extra to fit , saying the voucher is for the “parts only” and some will fit them f.o.c As a suggestion , the Ducati sat nav holder is very well designed and looks great along with the actual sat nav unit
Yes, technically. It’s a poor response though. Could have checked with Ducati themselves etc. we all know Ducati accessories have a more than healthy amount of Bologna tax included, their actual real cost to sort out a customer who only just fell foul of their offer change would have been minimal. They upped the offer as it wasn’t having enough of an effect, sales are tough …..so you’d think they’d like a little extra warm fuzzy feeling from a fully paid up customer..
You would hope so! (Sadly not) To be fair they are not too bad normally. When I got home after picking the bike up there was a screw in the tyre, they told me to bring the bike back and plugged it for me with no charge.
There always has to be a cut off point otherwise how far do you go back for bikes purchased? It’s just Sod’s Law.
I would ask my dealer what the bill will be for fitting my £2000 worth of "free" accessories! Ask me how I know to advise that!
