For many years, I have worn both water resistant touring and race boots manufactured by Daytona and was intrigued by a mention for the Yorkshire manufacturer, Altberg, in a recent post. I’ve always used Daytona care products to keep my boots supple and water resistant but was interested to read about Leder-Gris and why it was developed for modern hydrophobic leather on the Altberg web site, https://www.altberg.co.uk/bootcare/history-of-leder-gris. This got me thinking about what other people use. Andy
Alternate between Dubbin & Carr's leather oil. https://www.carrdaymartin.com/our-p...ve-conditioning-protection/carrs-leather-oil/
Depends on whether they are Leather or not… most are Lorica, if the boots are ‘goretex’ then normally they are leather, so I just use leather cleaner
I used Daytona cream and dubbin until I bought Alt-Bergs then switched to their Leder-Gris both gave good results. On my leather walking boots I use dubbin alone.
