i bought a box from china and changed it, i just used the front glued on to the back, pretty easy took a couple of hours i believe the mileage is stored on the bike so a dealer has to programme the mileage
Yes, as above. The speedo and bbs store the mileage. If you buy a 2nd hand dash, make sure the mileage is lower then your bike. Then when you sync them together, it will auto correct to the higher of the 2 stored mileages so should be right.
@southlondonCBR @bettes thanks for the information guys, hopefully I’ve just sourced a replacement dash, I’m pretty sure the replacement will have lower mileage than mine ( 32k plus ! ) so hopefully the dealer should be able to sync them correctly, good idea to store the mileage in the bbs, that way you can’t clock the bike. I just want to get the bike back together and then I can get dealer to sync it next year when it’s back on the road,….what a day
