I was happy with them on my GSA, but I’m impressed with the Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 that were supplied with my V4S and I’ve just replaced like for like after >8,000 miles. They were both legal but the rear was royally squared off.
I'm in the same position, I've not had any issues with the Scorpion Trail 2's and have been happy with them. Not sure if to stay with them or try the Roadtec's.
I highly recommend Dunlop Mutants on the V4S. I’m on my 2nd set, they last about 12,000km and dont square off quite as dramatically as the OEM Scorpions did. They’re wet weather grip is superb as well, as good in the wet as the dry.
The 2 articles I read both said in January. A quick look at the usual suspect suppliers, nothing on the shelf yet. Andy
I hoped forlornly that you realised having left Europe a couple of years ago that you would have adjusted your measurements accordingly just for us. Are your speed limit signs set in KM’s too as I woukdn’t want to exceed the statutory imposed speeds should I ever visit Ireland?
I've had Bridgestone before on my Monster (Batlax BT-21), harder middle, stickier sides, and I was quite happy with them, so that's why I'll try them out. I don't think there is much risk going there, since it's a known brand. Worst case, get something different next time round.
My experience of the T30 & T31 predecessors to the T32 was they were high mileage touring biased tyres probably felt more wooden than the Pirelli Scorps on the V4 mutley but my T3x experience wasn’t on my Mutley.
