Hi, does anyone know which Yamaha has the same sized Ohlins forks as my 1000ds s? I have heard that they are different to the ones fitted to the Ducati and can last longer. Or is that a myth?
Can't help you Chris. Have you tried posting on Multistrada.net ? They have people with a lot of knowledge about air-cooled Multis.
I just did mine and used all ballz seals. It was one of the easiest seal changes I have done. There are a few vids on youtube that I found helpful as well. I have assumed that the ohlins is the same on the 1000s as the 1100s?
Thanks. From what I can find the seals to go with are Ariete. So I have ordered those. Now I just need to find a replacement rear master cylinder with 40mm mounting centres.
Lols, I just replaced mine too. I had no prob getting that, and not too expensive either. It was a pig to get it to bleed properly, you have to unbolt the rear caliper and upend it. I had to re do mine further down the track as it just would not bleed thru properly. Good luckā¦
