  1. :D

  2. I think the arse has fallen out of so many markets at the moment, Range Rover, Porche, Aston Martin, are to name a few.
The luxary market has gone, electric anything is toxic, even through to the van market, not a good time to sell anything.

  3. Very true, but there is a flip side, quality always sells, and the 9** bikes are definitely a quality item. If you haven't ridden one you really should then you might undrstanfmd.

  4. If I may,
I would argue that keeping lowering your price in such a noticeable manner is a poor selling technique and will not convince anyone to buy your bike just now.
It rather encourages people to wait and see what your next move will be, especially at this time of year. And now you’ve advertised a « Final reduction », to be honest, my first instinctive reaction was to think « Well let’s see how final that is... »)

If you are in real urgent need to sell then state it, put a « make offers add » or list it at a really attractive price.
If you are not, remove your add, and wait for a more favorable period. IME, selling a bike in winter has never been a good idea. Late spring frenzy to early fall last orders seems much better.

    I hope this helps. :):upyeah:

  5. Just a point on price, there is a large bike sales company, that has a 998 in stock, slightly higher price than yours, with approx 6500 miles from new, but, (and it us a BIG but), it is rough as a badgers arse, it looks like it has been stored outside, without covers, for the last 20 years :astonished:

That possibly explains why they've had it in stock fir quite a while :joy:

Given the space, and the money, I know which one I would have

  6. Thanks for your input gentlemen you both make very good points.
As for the pric6e drop, I lowered it to the current price in August last year and its going no lower. I know I'm not good at selling, in fact I haven't even got round to advertising this elsewhere so only a few potential buyers have seen it.
I'm quite good at buying though. :joy:

  7. May be keep it a little longer, detail it and ride it some this coming season?
There might be something very Freudian about you not selling… ;)

  8. I rode a 999 for 18 years

  9. Ahh the the ugly younger sister 998, still a good ride though. :motorcycleduc:

  10. I've still got this bike as nobody took the final price offer.
Time and the market have moved on so temp me with £9000 and take this beauty home with a fresh 12 months mot.

  11. Morning.
I’ve been thinking of getting in touch but I’ve got to sell one to have the money. I’ll be in touch once sold and if you still have it I’d like to come and see the bike and see what we can do. Thanks.

  12. If you're not too far away you can come and have a look anyway, if it's not for you at least you've had a ride out. If you want it we could work something out until yours sold.
