Ducati now only list one part number for the Akrapovic race exhaust that fits the Multistrada V4 range (excluding China). The particular model engine mapping appears not to be reflected in the parts catalogue. It would also suggest, despite the different heads, Stradali desmodronic vs Grandtourismo valve spring, the physical exhaust manifold configurations are identical. Well, that's my take on it Andy
For anyone that's intrested. A YouTube video of the full exhaust install plus Evotech tail tidy and a finishing touch BST Carbon wheels ..
Interesting that you say that Andy. I installed the exhaust myself on my '23 Rally and it bolted right up same as the '21 V4 S did so I don't know what could be different. I still have the original box it came in which carries part# 96481791AA. The newest part# ends in CA. Any insights? Marc
Part # 96481791CA indicates that it is NOT compatible with the Center Stand. The Ducati Online Configurator still shows part # 96482291AA. The Online configurator also allows selection of the Center Stand ( 97080151DA) as well. However, in the notes it says the Center Stand is NOT compatible with part numbers - Not compatible with [p/n] 96481791CA Not compatible with [p/n] 96481791BA Not compatible with [p/n] 96481791AA It's all so confusing no wonder Ducati gets a premium price for everything!!!!! You have to have degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Physics & Finance to make heads or tails of things !!!
Has anyone actually arranged to have the pipe swapped over? Even then, you’d have to wonder about the map. The PP system is compatible with a centre stand (@Multirider75 - shut up!) but you wonder if the bracket, that stops the stand hitting it, also fits.
Oh FFS!! So I'm looking into it as the reviews I keep hearing are nothing but praise, damn you However, there were two main deciding factors 1) insurance costs and 2) fuel consumption. I've narrowed down the insurance to about £1000 so that's not a deal breaker. But the fuel consumption no one really seems to offer any great detail other than factory numbers, no real world experience. Are there many people on here with an RS who can offer any insight and, dare I say it, direct comparisons to the PP.
Insurance varies for me from unobtainable to around 600. Fuel no idea cos its sitting waiting for March reg and it's far too much like winter for me. But given cost of bike, not too worried about fuel economy
I mean the Multi V4 fuel consumption was worse that then V2's and the Streetfighter and Panigale V4's were worse that the Multi versions. So I imagine it's not great but I really don't care for what this bike is supposed to be. When I'm touring I'm on holiday, so whatever. Insurance wise, having had a quick look I'm not getting offers of less than a grand, but it is what it is.
I agree to a point but a bike that needs refuelling at less than 100 miles is a pain in the arse. My Tuono was like that and it's not far enough. Wouldn't buy a bike that couldn't do 120 miles to a tank again unless it was a supermoto style.
Picked up my RS last week but have only been able to put 100 miles (US) on it. Fuel consumption is high & it looks like about 140 miles per tank right now but it still needs to be "broken in -I've never liked that term". Insurance is circa 650 pounds (UK) or $800 (USD) a year as the Insurance Companies in the US don't know how to deal with the model yet!!! I have the Race Exhaust & Tune on it. OMG - but what a ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bet it's astonishing. I'm going to hang fire for the time being, but when looking to order something at the end of the year, hopefully the insurance will have sorted itself out, as I refuse to pay the sort of money folks on here are talking about.
managed to get it for £470 in the end - without the pain of trackers etc - so reasonably happy with that
Saw one in the flesh today, it was bloody awesome. I’m going to hang fire though, as I need to rebuild the savings, but next year I’ll be looking closely at the facelifted Multi with a view to ordering.
