Wsb Round 1 - Philip Island (spoilers)

  1. Well, that was surprising, in an exciting way. Hope JR is okay and I noticed TBA’s hands and forearms were badly cut up after his off. Full marks to Toprak for getting off the track when his BMW expired and well done Alex. Philip Island this year, is a definite one off IMO and Barcelona is going to be entirely different. In a moment of utter devil may care madness, we’ll be at Montmelo in 4 weeks time :D Andy

  2. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a lowes look so “racey”.

SR45 on the other hand :astonished:

  3. Ooh nice enjoy. Are you riding down?

  4. Not this time, just a flying visit, sleazy out Friday and back Monday. Andy

  5. I missed the second race up until the restart. What/when happened to Rae and Toprak please?

  6. Toprak had an engine let go but fair play to him, he was making the BMW do stuff no-one else has done and was well up front challenging for the win. They didn’t show JR’s crash but it was fast into the final corner where he crashed on Friday. Red flagged because the marshals and medics were tending to him in the gravel tap. He was stretchered away but no news during the program. Andy

  7. Was that a deliberate Con the Fruiterer reference? Loved the Comedy Company show.

Happy to see Iannone slot straight back in to racing at Phillip Island, the seagulls possibly not so much

  8. More Alberto Bertorelli I think.

  9. You're spot on, I was getting my Italian and Greek stereotypes mixed up.
    Doesn' madda :D

  10. I watched the highlights last night as i don't have sky, i was very impressed with Alex and would love him for the championship this season but it's another Kawasaki win which i don't want after JR's six on the bounce.

  11. Lowes did superb, can he be consistent though?
Rea zero out and of luck, Redding is he finished?
Glad it wasn't the red midget missile show anymore

  12. Lowes is really good at PI, and the Kawasaki is strong there. He rode so well, but I think when we get to stop start tracks with long tracks off slow corners it will be bye bye Ducati

  13. I will never work out how Montella didn’t get a penalty for the blatant jump start in wsp . Even my telly pause button captures it
