V4 V4 Track Fairings

I took the road fairings off last weekend, what a tedious task that was. So many screws hidden away round the headlight and strange clips and push on grommets on the side panels.

Then of course I couldn’t get the wings off, so will probably spank another load of dough on expensive new carbon wings

 

how old is your bike staff?

 

I thought the ones from Ducati were decent value and the painter said the quality was so good that he hardly had to do any prep work, plus they fitted very well.

 

That’s annoying.

 

Why not put 2020 on it then…. Far better looking!

 

The 2019 V4R fairing fits the 2018 V4 with a couple of extra brackets. If the later V4R’s have the same fairing as the first V4R, the answer is yes. Pretty sure I detailed the extra brackets in my V4 Speciale build in 2018/2019. Andy

 

what’s the finish like as they come? Did they need much prep for paint?

 

White gel coat and the sprayer I used did nothing before spraying in solid red. Andy

I didn’t do the paint, but believe they are prepped ready to take it.

 

I have a full set of OEM 2019 fairings with aruba.it livery which I bought for a trackbike that I (haven't yet) purchased. They're still boxed up in the garage and I don't think I have any photos but could probably dig them out at the weekend if you're interested.
