Multistrada V4s Brake Pedal Lowering

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by OoRanoO, Mar 19, 2024.

  1. Morning all,
I've carried out a search and can't seem to find anything related to my little quest. I have an Evo footrest kit from SW Motech that lowers the pegs by 15mm. I've not yet fitted them but want to find out how to lower the rear brake pedal if I need to.
Anyone on here lowered their pedal?
    Cheers
    Steve

  2. I've not attempted to lower it myself however this should help:

    REAR BRAKE PEDAL
The height of the brake pedal (1) can be modified by working the control rod (2)

Unscrew the nut (3) while holding the brake control rod (2) at the flat (A).
Turn the control rod (2) using the flat (A) until reaching the required position.
When the required position has been set, tighten nut (3) to a torque of 7.5 Nm ± 10%.

Loosen nut (5) while holding special grub screw (4).
Tighten adjuster (4) on rear brake lever, until obtaining the value (x) = 3.5 (0)(-0.2) mm (0.13(0)(-0.002) in).

Start the nut (5) on the adjusting grub screw, screwing it fully home against the brake lever, while holding the grub screw (4).
Tighten nut (5) to a torque of 5 Nm ± 10% while holding grub screw (4).
Certify the tightening of the nut (5) with the indicated product, as shown in the figure.
Loosen nut (5) while holding special grub screw (4).

  3. Brilliant! Many thanks Steve

  4. When i did it I could not get much adjustment, i may have done it wrong - notwithstanding the mandatory 3 or 4 Ducati workshop typos's

  5. Having read that I’m just going to ask the dealer to adjust it when I get my first service done!
