Hi All, I have one of the original stands like above, on the other side of the stand it has a place it looks like an arm or handle fits in, should mine have one ? pretty certain it would make it easier to use if it did or a solution to use something with an arm to fit> did they come with anything or anything people have used to retro fit the hole( excuse that:p) thankyou for any info on this

  2. Hello,

I just found myself a brand new old stock one, painted just like my 916 frame, and there’s the same hole, which I doubt was designed to get an extension for better ease of lifting. It looks more like disposable transport/storage low quality finition than anything else, in my opinion. But I have seen pictures of extensions welded to these before.

I will only use it to store the bike « on display » for the winter months. I would refrain to use it too often, as the risk of dropping the bike seems higher than with other stands. Additionally, it is not designed to have the wheel turned (for chain clean & lube) as there’s no pin. Not the right stand for maintenance…

So I just plugged that hole with a frame plug, as it is exactly the same diameter as the frame tubes. Looks really better like that.

  3. Had mine from new. No handle comes with it. Just for storage or display. I never used mine - use a FG one a pin that has bearings.
