Just cleaned down my GG700SM using a recently purchased Kracher foam gun and snow foam, works pretty well. Once I’d rinsed the foam off most off the dirt had gone. Let it dry a little then finished it off with WD40 on a micro fibre cloth.
Useful, just bought a battery for the Daughters car as it’s been struggling to start and was showing only 11volts according to the auto sparky who’s run a diagnostic test on it. £35 for the test 133 for the battery a £33 reduction.
All ph neutral shampoo, foam, won't strip your wax If your bike is full of tar, road salt...vasco prewash is a good product Iron X on brakes and wheels to remove brake dust Let sit for 5 to 10 mins, while I set up power washer Spray foam, let sit for 5 to 10mins Rinse off Spray foam Use lambs wool mith for bodywork, another for wheels Optional: two bucket method , one bucket with water only and grit guard, second bucket with water and soap , grit guard (minimise scratches to paint work) Snow foam, let sit while I clean up Rinse Dry with drying towel If it needs a wax , I will use autoglym super resin polish , it contains fillers , will hide any micro scratches in the paint work, buff off , apply a good wax , autoglym hd , fusso ... WD40 or ACF50 , suspension, engine, plastics ... Apart from cleaning the bike , you will notice any safety issues, reason I also like to clean the bike using this method
One useful tip is don't rinse your bike (or car) before using snow foam. If you apply straight onto a dry vehicle it will allow it to dwell longer rather than just slide off.
Pro Kleen have a large range of cleaning products that I've been happy to use over the years. And yes it's all about the gun. Maybe check Stuart Fillingham on you tube for a gun review.
I have both Autoglym Polar Blast and Bilt Hamber Touchless. The former is pH neutral so for when the bike isn't too dirty, the latter is stronger. Happy with both. Another vote for the Worx cordless. Quick to set up (so more likely to wash the bike!) and lower pressure, so prefer to use it on the bike rather than Karcher that I keep for the car. I don't pre-rinse with water alone (as means snow foam will fall off and not dwell, it dilutes the snowfoam ratio, but most importantly you're blasting hardened dirt over the bike with only water for lubrication). So for me, i do: Foam (snowfoam) Rinse Foam (apply the shampoo with the pressure washer, then wash with mitts / microfibres) Rinse This means I only need 1 bucket (for rinse, don't need a shampoo bucket). Can also do zero bucket method if you have 5 or 6 mitts / microfibres, that after cleaning a section you put away and pick another clean one.
