1200 Termignoni Heel / Heat Guard In Carbon

Discussion in 'Monster' started by The real Ray, Mar 18, 2024.

  1. Hi,

My 1200s has termi slip on's but the metal heel guard on the pipe leading to the top can is getting the paint rubbed off.

I've been looking for a matt finish carbon guard, a reasonable match for the OEM carbon front mud guard, any recommendations?

  2. Share an image of it please

  3. This is the Piece I'm after in carbon

  6. Who makes it/sells it?

I've since found maxicarbon sell them and carbon4us both italian based suppliers.

  7. Yes, thanks for that, I think I'll give them a go, carbon4us is another supplier but they are even more expensive.

I've got a bad attack of carbonitus again, not bad enough to pay ilmberger or Ducati performance prices though:scream::)

  8. Ilmberger can be had at good prices occasionally. I’ve managed to get a few bits half price in the Performance Parts sale now and again. Had a few bits from Maxi carbon too. Quality isn’t too bad. But I still need three more items to complete the bike

  9. The maxicarbon heel/exhaust guard has arrived and I've fitted. That matt finish matches the OEM carbon pretty well. I did have to open up the mounting holes a little with a drill bit. It fits well and looks good. I'd buy from maxicarbon again. IMG_20240413_110639262.jpg IMG_20240413_110639262.jpg IMG_20240413_110650108.jpg
I have also bought a fitted a ilmberger ignition surround.

  10. Now compare the prices between the two.

  11. Any additional import fees at all?

  12. I paid 80 euros Inc shipping and insurance, nothing more to pay.
Import duties are very much specific to the goods and/or the total value.

For example some stuff is zero import duties, other stuff such as skis attract 2% duty.

Generally speaking companies that want to deal with UK customers are pretty up front about things related to any import duties if any will be due, some sort all that needs to be done.

Just watch out for the 35% tariff if you are buying from Russia or Belarus.:astonished::)

  13. Ordered. The payment process is a bit of a faff though! Patiently waiting on the postie now

  14. Mine was on back order, I think I waited 3 weeks?

  15. So I might have a wait. That's ok it's barely stopped raining up here anyway

  16. Well that was quick, ordered, delivered and fitted all in 5 days. Looks good too. @The real Ray I had to open the holes out slightly too. Would certainly use maxicarbon again. 20240422_190426.jpg
