I searched and didn't find a thread mentioning this bike, so.... let's play a game I just love a good debate and pointing inconsistencies out in general, so how about this: https://www.ruotedasogno.com/en_gb/bikes/ducati/1995-ducati-955.html It's obviously had some minor restoration/touch-ups done, like the swing arm chain guards and the brake reservoir cap, but take a look at all the damage on that radiator and the wear on those front brake discs? Plus the amount of heat through the exhaust to turn it bronze and blue, come on. What else can you experts of the brain trust spy with your little eyes..... ...and if we are really bored, a few months ago another Italian seller posted a 996R that was so terribly restored, I called them out on FB with like a 30 point+ checklist of everything wrong with it so a buyer wouldn't be ripped off. No disclosure about any restoration, just like this 955 SPA. It's one thing on a 20K bike, but not on a 100K bike IMHO, even if it is caveat emptor.
on some of the pics there looks to be slight wear on the discs. my biggest surprise with that bike is how few miles it has on it. I've had many new old stock bikes in my collection over the years and it's surprising how many miles they collect being pushed from 1 room to another, then to the van, back to the workshop etc etc... it's certainly a pretty thing. no price tag though?
105K euros I believe. Gotta wrap the tyres to keep them clean when moving around and try to always roll the bike backwards. Never let that front wheel roll forward lol
haha ill have to remember that tip about only going in reverse! maybe that's how they wound the mileage back
Looks to be an absolutely lovely thing to my eyes! If i was a rich man ( cue the music ) I'd definitely pick this up (along with the period Marchesinis ). Cuz an SPS is just so damn common these days ! Everyone has or wants one. But an SPA?! Now that sets you apart as real Cognoscenti!

Are you talking at WSB level Cookster? Foggy's '95 bike perhaps? I believe the '94s were 926cc and the '96 went to 996. But they all looked more or less the same regardless of capacity, although the '94 and maybe '95 bikes ran without bottom oil catch fairings ( can't remember the proper name! ) which set them apart visually somewhat.. Anyway, just wondering specifically what you're referring to? Ooops, according to Falloon, the '94 bikes were already 955cc! My bad, for some reason I thought they were 926..
Another of the bike that Cookster posted, just cuz it is sooo freakin' gorgeous, almost painfully so.. Bike is owned by a member on Ducati.ms, maybe he's on here as well..
The 916 Racing were all 955cc's the last 888 Corse were 926cc's and just to be different my 851 is 955cc's. Steve R
