  3. I tried kebabs for the first time in the air fryer this week similar to your baguette with peppers onions etc
Bought a peri peri marinade and did the chicken overnight.
Best kebabs I’ve had in years so soft and loads better than any takeaway I’ve had recently.
Just need to perfect the chilli sauce now

  4. image.jpg Here is a recommendation for a recipe book, Giggling Squid.

Thai recipes all the ones I’ve had cooked for me from here have been delicious.

  5. Does it have kanar moo grob? that used to be my absolute favourite when I lived there and it was like ha sip baht (50 baht/80pemce).
Crispy pork belly Thai greens chilli and the usual soy/fish sauce .
I always had it with a fried egg on top and rice.
However many times I’ve tried it over here it tastes nothing like the original.
I would pay a lot of money for the correct recipe.

  6. Got a pork pie from the butcher, with carrots and chips. And a bottle of red to celebrate.

hunters chicken, jacket potato with Philadelphia and chicken bbq cheese juices over the top
    It's a small plate looks untidy :D

Deep fried pig's ear with a muy picante chilli sauce. Actually tasted a lot better than the description and picture :D Andy

  13. @Chris
Your showing your generation with those 1970's plates.

  14. At the risk of getting my plates critiqued!!

Saturdays curry (new place in town I’ve used twice in a week it’s so good lol) and Sundays obligatory roast.

  15. Can i take it thats a "deconstructed" burger and chips and if so what did you flavor the mince with?

  16. yes it's exactly that
I fried mince in olive oil with red onion garlic salt and pepper and low fat mince for 2-3 minutes
    Recipe called for dry mince

it's the sauce that gives the dish flavour
Mayo/ red sauce/ Dijon mustard/ garlic/pickle juice and chopped pickle

chips home made tossed in olive oil salt garlic and paprika

  17. V nice, sauce sounds delicious and the home made chips look good too which i struggle with a lot of the time.
If we're scoring its a 9 from me and only for the lack of a burger roll ;)

  19. It’s been a good few days of eating this weekend!

    Saturday night starter

    IMG_8756.jpeg

Main was Chicken stuffed with Boursin, wrapped in bacon, with a creamy leek sauce:

Then later in the evening, my cousin’s son decided to make pizzas, so it would be rude to say no!

Needed to soak up all the booze in the morning:

Then rounded the weekend off with a delivery from the local Turkish restaurant
