Hello all. In a couple of weeks I will be installing a new lower fan on my 2013 1199s. Any tips from anyone in regards to what I need to remove and what I can get away with not removing. Hope I don’t have to remove the lower rad. Regardless any tips are appreciated. Cheers
I guess it’s the fan on the Lower rad. If it’s the same as the 1299 then it’s simple. Remove lower fairings and simply unscrew the fan unit 3 screws I believe and replace.
Thank you sir I sure hope it’s that easy. There’s a guy I follow on YouTube called fancy animal, I believe his an engineer, he has a 1199 with over 40,000 miles on it, anyway he does all his own work and his videos are so informative. Anyway he was removing the sump and it seemed complicated removing the fan so I was a little worried but maybe that’s removal of the whole unit.
