V4 Best Paint Protection Film ?

  1. I’ve had my car done. I went for the ‘front leading’ option. That’s front end, bonnet, wings, leading pillars, side skirts and leading edge of roof. It’s not cheap but it’s excellent. It really does keep stone chips at bay and comes up beautifully (easily) after a wash and polish.

Had my bike done too. After a fast excursion into the kitty litter it definitely offered reasonable protection to the panels. Good stuff indeed.

Tip- have it applied professionally. Otherwise it’ll end up in a screwed up ball in the middle of your garage floor. Followed by an hours self loathing and massive sulk… :D

    Ask me how I know…

  3. Following...

Interested in recommendation for best PPF now-a-days and somewhere that can do a decent job fitting it in the South West (south of Bristol)

  5. £125 for the Tony James kit, a hairdryer/heat gun and a few hours of patience has already saved my bike from numerous stone chips. Well worth it for the money IMO. Well worth it if you do more than ‘average’ mileage.

  6. I've used both XPEL and 3M PPF on my bikes. XPEL Pro worked great for me, with strong protection and a nice look. The 10-year warranty is a big bonus, but it costs more. The 3M kit is easier to put on yourself and saves some cash.

I recently had my Ducati done with PPF at https://adeptwrapping.co.uk/. They did full coverage for £3960 using a 3M Scotchgard film, and I'm really happy with it. The film is strong, and the finish looks good. If you like doing things yourself, the 3M kit is a good choice, but if you want a professional job, XPEL Pro’s warranty might be worth the extra money.

  7. Suntek is another option. IIRC has the same "self-healing" properties as XPEL

  8. The Tony James Designs Designs kits are Xpel iirc…
