Sadly not for me this year, I will be back at some point though. I read the following article and right near the bottom, it says “Visitors to the island have also been reminded to check they have adequate health insurance for their trip to the Isle of Man.”. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqlnl0lppj0o According to Google “The Isle of Man has a reciprocal healthcare agreement with the UK which means that medical treatment which is needed by a resident of England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Island whilst visiting the Island is provided by the IOM NHS on the same basis as services provided to local residents.” But what if you want/need repatriation to either your local or special hospital in the U.K. ?
You have to pay for it. And the cost can run into 10s of £1000s. There is also the issue if they call an emergency helicopter out for you. There is no reciprocal arrangment for that.
Few of them the last time i was out there in 2017!!! Makes it more important you dont ride like a dick and respect OTHERS.
I'm riding over for my 34th time and these days I avoid riding on the circuit as much as possible. Steve R
I'm the same, this is my 32nd TT and I do the same as you. I only use the circuit on race days. And, I never ever ride the circuit the opposite way from ballacraine onwards, no matter where i am, I'll pull off and use the peel coast road to get back down if need be. I've given up trying to get over the mountain as it's always shut. I do ride the circuit a lot during the manx though, much much better
