Ducati loves these special editions, don't they. Must be a great business, slap a Lambo or Senna stickers on, and money rolls in.
It seems in rather bad taste to me -especially launching it at Imola on the anniversary of his fatal accident- unless they are donating all the profits to one of Senna's many charities? Perhaps they are...
Yet another 'limited edition'. Surely Ducati can innovative better than just roll out specials every few weeks.
Amazing. It’s been so long that I was starting to wonder if they would ever release a limited edition again.
As someone that’s just taken delivery of a 30th Anniversary Monster, I’m disappointed that Ducati seem to be launching “special”editions at the drop of a hat.
Ayrton Senna made a trademark of his last name, before his accident. Royalties go to the Senna fondation.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think this has much difference in terms of spec over the 30th? I got a little excited seeing a yellow Ducati but the price is crazy!
£23,500? And i bet they are all sold by tomorrow. £10k more than the SP with only a paint scheme difference. WTAF.
Never a fan of Senna myself. " shared common values" what are they? I would rather Ducati did not associate themselves with him but i am probably in a minority of one and expect to take flak for this comment. Just expressing my opinion though. Dont like the colour scheme either
That partnership goes way back. Not Ducati/Senna. More like Castiglioni (Cagiva)/Senna. Pretty genuine, it seems… https://www.motorvalley.it/en/story/ducati-916-senna/
Tbh, I like it. Maybe it should be a bit more special though, a bit (lot) more power for example. Btw, I still have a black Dainese leather jacket with yellow and white panels….if any one is interested?
I quite like the colour scheme but if I'm buying I don't like it enough to pay that premium; I'd take the SP or 30th Anniversary and keep the change, thanks.
If rich, undiscerning collectors want to pay top dollar to subsidise some of our other stuff then everyone is happy!
