Hi I disconnected the battery to connect heated glove leads then reconnected cables back. Put key in the on position and system checked itself as normal then nothing no ignition/neutral or oil lights on. Press starter button and nothing. Headlights, indicators, horn and brake lights all working. Didn't get as far as plugging in heated gloves and battery is fairly a new Motobatt so plenty of charge. Checked fuses and all good. Any ideas please.
Sounds like the immobiliser needs resetting. The Immobilizer System; Keys - Ducati MONSTER S2R 1000 Use And Maintenance Manual [Page 16]
Hi Chris thanks for reply. Unfortunately the EOBD light does not stay on to enable you to enter the code. All lights go out apart from the immobiliser amber one which flashes. Cheers
There are a couple of software experts on here, but my memory failing, it does sound like a fault then..
You have probably done this but worth checking. Mine won`t start unless the tank retaining gubbins is all properly screwed back together.
Hi all sorted at last phew, retraced all wiring and found a loose connection which I missed first time round. Thanks for help everyone much appreciated.
Hello, I took my battery out to charge and have encountered the same problem. EOBD doesn’t stay on long enough to reprogram and engine is locked. Have checked wiring and ecu earth. Had a new transponder last year. what did you check to get yours started? tganks
@Jason O you have posted on a thread from 2017 and the Original poster hasn't been here for over 7 years
