Hi guys, Bit of advice please... What sort of price should i be asking for my 2009 1198 with just 16455 miles? It's got the dry clutch, the extra carbon bits and is really clean and nice. Unfortunately, following cancer surgery earlier this year, i just can't ride it for more than about 20 minutes before the pain becomes distracting - not good on a bike like this. Grateful for your collective wisdom i was thinking circa £8500 but not sure if that is cheap, spot on or unrealistic. I know there is always the "what is someone prepared to pay" argument but... Personally I think its closer to 7500 to 7750 depending on its service history, who has looked after it and when its next due a service and or tyres, looks lovely though, sad to hear you're having to sell but glad that it appears the surgery has kept you with us.
No help with your sale, but, i had a 2010 1198..... I can still remember riding it..... Phenomenal machine. Nothing before or since has come near that experience.
Considering it was the last Ducati range before they become part of a large group like everyone else, it's the last 'fuck it' from the Ducati engineers in my eyes. I'd love one, one day. I had a 1098 S and that unified the colour of all of my underwear.
Sorry to hear about your situation. For a 2009 1198 with those miles and extras, £8500 seems like a fair starting point. Maybe list it a bit higher to leave room for negotiation. Best of luck with the sale and your recovery!
