Ducabike risers

  1. Hi
Anyone fitted the Ducabike risers to their streetfighter?
I am hoping to fit them tomorrow but the instructions do not give a torque figure for the replacement base plate that replaces the current one under the handlebars (held on with 2 Allen bolts.)
Any info would be much appreciated.
    cheers

  2. Hi,
Cant give you any settings just want to pick your brain.
Running my 848 with standard bars, been on my first proper ride today and all the weight is on my wrists.
Do you have standard bars ? and do the risers you have bring the bars closer as well?
    Thanks

  3. Hi BanjoThe Ducabike risers bring the bars approx. 10mm higher and 10mm closer to the rider.
I did try some Rizoma ma005's but did not get on with the angle of the bars.
I wanted to keep the sweep of the original bars but take a little weight of my wrists as I was surprised how much weight was on my wrists whilst riding the streetfighter. I have them fitted and will ride the bike tomorrow so will update you then mate.
They certainly look nice and are very well made although they should be for the cash! :)
    Cheers

  4. If I've just found them on the Italian web site, I have just picked myself up off the floor and still in shock...lol. If those are the ones you bought.

Be great if you can let me no what they are like.
I'm also looking for some quality bar ends to try and reduce some of the vibration....any ideas ?
    Thanks.

  5. Got them from Ducabikeusa1 on fleabay.
good discount and arrived 2 days after ordering excellent service.
will post after I have given them a good run.
i have DP bar ends as I try and keep it Ducati wherever possible when it comes to add ons.
i am currently working my way through the performance parts catalogue! :)

  6. Had my first ride today with the risers on and have got to say it is the best mod I have fitted to date. The small difference in the position of the bars seems to make a big difference to the riding position and helps take weight of the wrists but still keeping the sporty position with the standard bars. I have them set on the 10mm closer position although you can keep them further forward if you wish by rotating the clamps 180 degrees.
This mod along with the adjustability of the Gilles rear setts makes this bike spot on for me.
they also look pretty nice fitted although I now fancy getting the bars painted black as they are looking a bit rough!

  7. Looks good. Thanks for the update. I've only had the bike a couple of weeks so I will see who things go, and then may have to take the plunge.
