  1. Get an EPROM tool to remove the chip. Makes life easier.

Out of interest, why are you removing the chip?

  2. I have 2 chips and the one fitted makes for harder starting and I'm trying to get my laid up 916 fired up

I was hoping to do this today but don't have the EPROM tool thingy

  3. well no need to change it
bike fired up today happy days

  4. You don't necessarily need a special tool - you can lever it up with a screwdriver (I use a pick that has a 90 degree bend in the end) - just be careful and do it a little at a time on either end and to not bend the legs as you raise it up.

I can burn & supply chips for many standard maps.
