Hi Got a supersport 800 2019 plate that you turn the key nothing happens, no clocks no fuel pump nada . is there a fuse or a relay or anything else that common to look at first? it happened on the first ride after being washed so at a guess I’d say it water related . Any input would be appreciated
I’ve not had any issues after washing my bike, is the battery ok? Has one of the terminals come loose?
The only thing I’ve found so far is the starter relay is badly corroded the fuses was rotten and crumbled when I touched it . I’ve ordered a new one but can anyone tell me if this would stop the ignition switching on or is it only for the starter circuit? Is there a separate relay for the ignition? when I touch the 2 lives together the bike will spin over and fire up
The starter solenoid has a fuse (see the 30A one in your pic) that supplies the whole bike except for the starter motor. Check for corrosion at the fuse blades/socket and the 4 in connector the plugs into the solenoid. All the current for the bike goes through it on the 2 red wires
