  2. Individual brilliance from some England players over the tournament but not enough trying to win as a team.
Tactics were very old school and out of date imho.

  4. meh, i could write what i know about football on the back of a baw hair. but i do know that there are those that remain silent when it's being dished out. but... yah donkeys

i also think there is a rule that whoever beats Spain during the qualifiers automatically wins the tournament. 2-0 is a win. yes? :p

  5. I see Gary S has fallen on his sword today.
Cant say i blame him, must be the most boring job in the world barring 3 weeks every two years.
Time to bring the Hodge home where he belongs imho.

  6. Pleased Gareth has gone tbh.
Maybe the next manager can see past Harry Kane and pick balanced starting 11. What a golden chance has just been missed, quality was certainly available.

  7. Will never happen but get Kloppo in and they win the lot.

  8. You do realise he is German so never going to happen and to be honest his record at Liverpool is mediocre at best, only man for the job is Pep but the FA won’t pay the salary for a elite manager so we will probably be stuck with the usual candidates who have won sweet fuck all, Potter,Howe, Lampard or god forbid Gerard.

  9. Personally I think they should put Sabrina Wiegman in charge. She would sort out the egos and is proven winner.
Try something different for a change.

  10. Sadly not going to happen with the current misogynistic, rooted in the past, men’s club attitude in the FA (and FIFA come to that). Andy

  11. Austrian, IIRC. Like a certain corporal and part-time painter.

  12. Wasn’t Southgate the highest paid, by a long way, manager in the euro finals?

  14. If you’re going down that route, do the job properly and get Emma Hayes back from the USA.

Yes, I know it’s not going to happen as they would be petrified of an F bomb in the interviews, but she would certainly sort out the egos.

  15. Either would be fine by me. But it won’t happen. England will recruit a second rate manager when they have a world class (in many positions) playing squad to pick from.
Pep or Klop would be brilliant. Dream on. My money is on “Harry” Potter.

  16. £7 million a year for 12 matches a year.
I'm sure they could get someone competent this time......

  17. Half of what Eddie Howe earns and not enough to entice a proven winning manager, Alf Ramsey was the last great English team manager.

  18. Don Revie. Proper bloody manager he was… Aye, bloody nah then…

  19. PS I hope the under 21’s manager gets the job, he has got the team playing lovely football and proven winners .

  20. Not really, AFAIK the top managers get around the same money and Julian Nagelsmann is paid more? The England manager always gets the most abuse though.
