First registered March 2005, I’ve had it from new and it’s absolutely immaculate
It’s the limited edition close out “ Red Collection “ model, Gunmetal metallic, dark red leather interior and matching hood, looks fantastic!
148 bhp and it weighs less than a ton, handles absolutely perfectly, great fun to drive and still does over 40 mpg.

Milage is currently 29,026, so it’s done a whopping 46 miles since it was MOT’d last year, which is the main reason it’s for sale, just not getting used.
Tyres all round are virtually brand new, I’ll put a new MOT on it.

Engine bay is as clean as a whistle , I’m absolutely anal with looking after my bikes, cars, whatever, so it’s been cherished all its life, alloys are as new, no kerbing or corrosion on them at all.

It’s fitted with the TTE ( Toyota team Europe) twin exhaust system and TTE lowering springs all around.
Also has factory fitted air conditioning, which works fantastically well!

This is a totally original mint condition example of an appreciating Japanese sports car no longer in production, there’s one on Autotrader now, not as good as this one and it’s a shade under £10 grand
Confident in saying this is the best example you will find, it’s like a new car and it pains me to sell it really, whoever buys it will not be disappointed at all, so I’m pricing it at £8,900 ovno

PM me for more details or if you want to chat about it.

  3. IMG_0132.jpeg Great cars, I had one and if I had the room I’d have another in a heartbeat. Missed it when it went but she had to go and she took the car with her!
GLWYS looks to be a great example :upyeah:
Good owners club community on MR2ROC.org, don’t know if your a member but could try posting it for sale on there, there are always guys on there looking for good examples like this one?

  4. Get some flyers / leafets posted at any hairdressers as they'd love it.;)

They say 12,000 miles on average per year so you've done well with that very low mileage, have you seen new car prices these days............so perhps a bargain.

  5. Wow, that's the right spec, the right colour, and the right condition at a great price considering what I've just typed.
    You've really looked after her.

I really wish I had room, because if I did I'd be hiring a covered trailer and heading North with it behind the Landie this weekend.

Can somebody else buy this quickly before I rent somewhere to keep it.

  6. Rear subframes can be a weak point (water ingress and rot from the inside). Early models suffered from the honeycomb in the manifold (precat) breaking down and sucked back into the engine, they sorted it after 03 but I still swapped mine out for a straight through manifold. Straps on the roof break meaning when it folds it doesn’t tuck the corners in resulting in “ears” sticking out. Roof drains block up resulting in water in the storage bins behind the seats.

Good care and maintenance avoids most of these niggles, and it looks like they don’t come much better cared for than this one.

A good upgrade is a Celica 2ZZ engine swap but tbh this car is too good to molester like that.
