My 916 has a alcantara seat which is in pretty good condition but has turned a reddish kind of colour. Any body had any experience of dyeing these?
Was it originally Black? as that colour tends to go a reddish brown due to sunlight degrading the dye. If I were to think about dying I would use black dye used for car cabriolet roofs as that must be waterproof and won't run when wet.
only reason it has been sitting on its perch in the first place was because it had been nailed there .
