A solos dealer may well pop up in the region and scoop it all up. Offer delivery and collection option for servicing etc and jobs a good un. They may well put a Ducati annex along side Audi dealers. BMW do this obviously.
Me too. Bought my bike there and get all my services there. Long wait time but I've always found them to be great. Just wondering if I'm missing something.
Without loan bikes, Pro Twins is impractical for many. Will Ducati rely on Pro Twins to cover Kent, East and West Sussex, alongside their native Surrey? I hope so. That works well for BMW and would work for Ducati, too. It’s certainly better than having no local dealer at all!
I heard a rumour that Laguna Ducati were going to go to Alyseford near their solus Triumph , Honda and Harley dealerships?
The guy at Laguna Ashford offered no hint of that. Just that they’d lost the franchise and that they would not be in a position to offer any aftermarket Ducati servicing or workshop support with customers with Ducati’s the nearest option of Croydon or Eastbourne. The guy in there who was looking at buying a panigale was not very impressed at the prospect of no local official service agent.
I dealt with Marcus at P&H for many years and spent an obscene amount of money with them on Ducati’s. The VAG takeover of Ducati pissed me off so much I sold all my bikes and moved to a seriously sorted R1M. This news just justifies my decision. VAG don’t seem to understand bikers are into biking because they love bikes, not because of a “corporate image dealership”.
P&H sold to Superbike factory. Makes sense as Paul lives in the lane next to mine and has had his place on the market for a few months now, when I asked him if P&H was next he laughed it off.
Such a dearth of any dealers in west sussex. P&H - no longer a Ducati Dealer Alfs - no longer a MV Dealer, transferred to P&H, who...........see above. CMW - gone Spoke to Ducati Alton regards picking up my bike for a service (Like P&H did, as part of their service) and wanted to charge a faily sizeable lump for the privilege. Neither Ducati or MV Agusta seem that bothered about this part of the world.
Spoke to a guy at the Eastbourne bike night who said the site next to Sykes, the Hardly able, son dealer is going to be a Ducati showroom soon. Hopefully that’s more than a rumour!
I think WM Snell aka Ducati Alton have a “free” pickup service within 50 mile radius in the winter, they certainly used to as I have to get mine picked from the office. Two staff actually live relatively close so I suspect now they would collect and return as part of their commute.
The guys at Ducati Bournemouth are very friendly, but haven’t filled me with confidence, so although it’s much further away I’m happy to be going back to WM Snells. I visited MotoRapido several times in the past but struggled to get a meaningful response to buying a new bike, which IMO doesn’t bode well.
Yep, they do, however, they charged me to pick my bike up to replace the tyre as that was completely my fault, and I needed it done quickly.
DOCGB were told the Harley place, is it Sykes? is getting an authorised showroom. Presume that's the same place
