999 Magnesium paint match needed

  1. hi.
    just want to touch a few marks up on my headlight bucket.
    its magnesium and i have searched the forum but cannot see info I found ages ago regarding a colour match

    anyone point me to where to buy it / colour reference etc...

  2. Magnesium engine gold, by Colorite #7620 I think, is the best match.

    Or surprisingly Fiat Gold' #527

  6. Color Rite are an exclusively Us' company I think, but they will ship you a touch up pen/brush

    Best to contact them via email.

  8. My 999 doesn't have any gold painted parts. I have just bought some Ducati engine silver for the headlight cluster.

  14. is this the same as my 916 headlamp shell?? theres a couple of flakes on it i'd like to rectify over winter..

    I presume the material is the same but obviously the part is different.
    if so exposed magnesium will corrode and fester with air.

  16. Try RS Bike paint. They do from touch up pens to litres of paint and everything i've had has been exact match. Even on my rare, why did you buy that colour?, purple and lavender GSXR 1100.
