I cannot see a list anywhere and i expect someone has done this work already but what is the list in chronological order - i get lost after the 749 748R 996R 998R 999R 749R 1098R 1199R 1299R V4R
Theres an 1198R, the 1299FE is the R (i believe) and the 1199 is the Panigale R. The 1199R isnt really an R (as far as im led to believe)
and herein lies the question.... what defines an R is the list those models that have been officially designated as "R" models by Ducati? thats what my intention was
I fooking am. I gave you the correct list. If you want to be truly accurate it might be a good idea to include the cc of each bike. That clears up the confusion “some” have around the 1199/1299 FE/Pani R bikes.
I know most of the details of an R, S, SP, SPS even the Strada, but it all goes down the drain at the 999 models and on, as I prefer the era of the 748 series. There are many books to read and even a museum if you really like to learn, so go for it. And stay away from FB as the “Americans” think that the USA 998s Bayliss and Bostrom are the true R’s
