Got to ask why , mines 4 months old and already at 6500 , I use it a lot and and next service is at 9k , these bikes are made to use , thrash and abuse lol . They won’t melt . The RS in question was used by a fellow who toured a lot hence the mileage. As a foot note I would like to find the reason some sell so early on both the PP and the RS as they are the flagship bikes as such. I always wonder .
Money. Either realise they shouldn't have in the first place or have so much they want something newer and more shiny
Nice reply I always had a reason to change , or they just got to the end of warrantee , some I continued to fund additional cover if the bike was faultless , but always had a reason / problems or just the bike failed to live up to its promise so changed. I could list almost all my bikes with the issues and why I changed .
I agree with your post above, the bikes are designed and intended to be used but, I fear, when it comes to purchasers of 2nd hand ones they want one that hasn’t been used. There was a 2021 V4S on eBay recently, travel & radar spec, complete with top box, one owner and it only had 1300 miles on it . I struggle to see how anyone could buy a bike like that, pay for all the luggage and not use it for 3 years. However, that’s what buyers want. With the PP and more so the RS I guess it’s amplified. Sadly, I suspect my own V4S with 32,000km is now worthless to a new buyer, yet invaluable to me.

No problem sticking the miles on, just seems odd to sell it so quickly. The price seems very high, considering it’ll need the big service very soon.
Apart from the seat cover i noticed that part of the red striping on the back wheel is missing , must be good for a £500 quid discount at least

I’ve only managed 11k on mine in 2 years, just wish I had more time to ride it.
I bought a V4S Performance in 2022 for £17.5k sold it 6 months later with 700 miles only because I got back what I paid for it in PEX for a PP. Had no intention of selling just seemed a good deal. My PP lasted 18 months and 2500 miles lost £2000 on it but just hadn’t used for various reasons for 6 months and thought I’d get out while the values were good. There’s always a reason why these bikes come on the market, for me, they’re the ones I always look out for..
I still have a blingtastic 2016 1200 DVT Pikes Peak in the garage with 4k miles on it New house and work (plus other bikes) means I havent got time to ride it , should of sold it years ago if I wasnt such a wuss about bikes and was more financially savvy
