1200 Enduro Throttle Return Spring

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Edward Cunliffe, Jul 9, 2023.

  1. Just fitting a tiny square of plastic (throttle spacer) to the beast, how the hell do you get the throttle return spring back in its proper place?

    Help!

  2. With patience and determination.

  3. Mmmmm ... I ran out of those ...

  4. Ok, throttle is off, spring is in, can anyone do me a nice close up picture of how the heated grip wiring goes please, on a complete assembled throttle?

  5. Not a great pic but now struggling to see how that little clip should go.

  6. Ok, panic over, seems it just wedges down in the gap, all sorted and put back together.

  7. Hi Edward. Am trying to locate how the throttle spring goes inside the white nylon thingy. You wouldn't have a shot of it by any chance please ? Thx. Rich.

  8. If it’s any consolation, I had exactly the same issue. It looks like it should be more complicated than it is. Luckily my mates V4S was in the garage so I could dismantle his for a look!

  9. Thx mate. Since last night I've managed to find a great installation post on another forum and they recommended dental floss to pull the locating hook on the end of the spring into its retention hole. Gonna give that a go. Ta. Rich.

  10. No more pictures, sorry, but I concluded there was no way the spring was going to go back in place with the throttle still on the bars. It was easy once I took the throttle all the way off.

*Will look for pictures just in case.

  12. I looked, no more pictures, sorry. I'm sure it's possible to get the spring in without removing the throttle but I couldn't do it.
