Not much been going on as I'm waiting for the frame to be strengthened around the headstock. So whilst waiting finished the discs
Yes good colour match, what paint was it, and what do you have planned for the back wheel. Cheers Gaz
Used Hammerite gold, great match Both wheels and frame will be white, bike came with a 750 rear wheel fitted which from memory is 5.50? but bit of luck came with a spare 900 7.50? which last owner didn't get around to painting, Just waiting for the frame to be done then its all off to the powder coaters, then its engine for a full strip and rebuild.
depending where you take it for powder coat, remind them not to cover up the VIN, as they did with mine edit: come to think of it 2nd time around I was much happier with a painted frame.
Going to use Maldon powder coaters have used before and all frame/ wheel bits and bobs all taped up nicely. Just debating gloss or satin white probably gloss and swinger will also be powder coated as close to original colour as possible,
full disclosure, it was them that did my frame, the white gloss finish was also prone to staining, petrol etc. transpired I hadn't been offered the "protective" laquer coating, I suppose in fairness we're going back a bit here, 1998/99 from memory.
