  2. If one adds a carbon cover of weight x kg to a wheel of y kg, the total weight is x+y kg which is greater than y kg.
Unless of course the cover is negative x kg.

  3. The cover is actually a sealed Torus filled with helium, so it's lighter than air.

  4. But the average density of the physical stuff ( wheel plus cover) is less than that of the wheel alone, so it's lighter

  5. I
It is... this was during the Ducati open day at Rykas right... or very close to it. We were all under the impression it was a real SL. Obviously not

  6. The cover is there to do a job. You're knowingly sacrificing what little weight penalty there is because the advantage it gives far outweighs it. No different in concept than the hubcaps on a formula1 car. He however won't be going fast enough to ever take advantage of it.

  7. Interestingly enough, for those that follow cycling, top cyclists use them...

  8. What ever it's job good or bad, it still looks shite.

  10. Not quite in the same mould and far cleverer than I when it comes to knocking stuff up but still…

  11. Nice but hope he's going to install some brackets to hold the cantilevered pipes.
Otherwise they may well crack near the front due to flexing of unsupported pipes.

  13. Reminds me of an attempt at the ktm moto gp bike which begs the question wtf is it doing on a v4 lol.

  14. I bet it sounds awesome though.

  15. Covers or discs, they aren’t the same item.
I haven’t seen covers used in pro cycling recently if at all.
Discs yes but only under certain circumstances and that on the motorcycle looks to be a cover not a disc.
