It's an airfield riding day. They close the runway and perimeter of the Chinese base in Odiham Hampshire and let you hook about on motorbikes. It's effectively a cheap track day. £60 for a whole day and about 6 sessions.
Just watching, cant have any more time off right now, so coulndt do test day or Mon GP day. Prob do Anglesey 21st which is a Sat instead
I've done that one on my ninja. Never again. Far too dangerous for my liking. Yes the blast down the runway is great, but the infield section is horrible, lots of surface changes plus there are taxi lights in the middle of corners (is it a working airfield after all). If you can avoid it don't run across the grass either. Its full of surprises like large chunks of rubble and metal There are no hard barriers between the track and the pits, just some orange plastic things too
Just realised, the ARD day I did was at RAF Benson - please ignore my little tirade, I need some coffee :tongue:
I've got Sunday looking dry and 21 degrees. Matt. The Odiham one is excellent. I've not had any experience with other days but from what I understand it's one of the best out there.... Well organised and the surfaces are decent. Yes there's some surface changes and the are a few small stones that get thrown up but on the whole it's very good.
+1 Odiham is like Silverstone compared to Benson! Lol looking dry....and there is space....join online and get there if you fancy a cheap day out
I may yet be convinced...chatting to one of the local guys tonight in the gym about going...looking sunny and dry. Needs to testthis new gearing..althiugh brakes need a fluid change really.
