I'm selling my bike due to lack of use - 330 miles in 2023, Zero this year and probably Zero next year due to being out of the country working, there's no point in it sitting in the garage doing nothing. 9675 miles on odometer. 3 previous owners. MOT until 23/9/2025 V5 present in my name, no outstanding finance, not HPI categorised Comprehensive service history with ring binder folder full of receipts, two keys, original book pack and key card. I've owned this bike since May 2020 and it is in outstanding condition, in my ownership I have covered less than 2000 miles on it on dry summer days and lives in a dry garage. the bike has has a complete bare-frame rebuild/restoration completed over winter 21/22 with thousands spent to make the bike perfect, I have hundreds of pictures of all work completed which I'm happy to share with any prospective buyer. The bike benefits from a large amount of preventative maintenance and quality upgrades which are outlined below. Engine: Engine was rebuilt by Moto Rapido Ducati in 2009, engine cases and heads have been blasted and powder coated white and light grey and cam covers are the same red as the frame. Timing belts and Desmo valve service was carried out in Aug 2021, approx 1000 miles ago, all valves were in spec but some were still re-shimmed to make them all perfect – pics and spreadsheet of clearances available. Also has an Exact start upgraded starter cable kit. Exhaust / Performance kit: Full Termignoni 70mm race system which has been Cerakoted in 'Titanium' ceramic coating, complete with Termignoni ECU and Pipercross air filter. Gearbox/clutch/drive: Oberon clutch slave cylinder, EVR 48T clutch kit, EVR pressure plate, EVR open clutch cover, Renthal sprockets (standard gearing) DID gold chain and AEM Factory drive flange all less than 1000 miles old. Frame: Frame, bottom yoke, swinging arm and headlight bracket have all been blasted and powder coated, all bearings replaced including full suspension linkage, speedymoto billet top yoke fitted. Suspension: front forks serviced with new seals, bushes and oil, fork tubes and lower brackets blasted and cerakoted. Ohlins rear shock which was rebuilt and re-sprung by RaceHQ, Ohlins steering damper. Controls: Renthal billet adjustable bars, R&G racing adjustable rearsets, Active Quick Action throttle, genuine Pazzo adjustable levers. Wheels & Brakes: Original wheels powder coated in satin gold, original Brembo calipers all refurbished with new stainless steel pistons and seals, Brembo Serie Oro brake discs, Brembo SR pads, HEL braided brake hoses and ATE Race fluid. Tyres are Pirelli Rosso Corsa 2 and are in excellent condition. Bodywork: The bike has thousands of pounds worth of carbon fibre parts fitted, all genuine Ducati Performance or Fullsix Carbon parts – front mudguard, rear hugger, full carbon tail unit, belly pan, under exhaust panel, radiator surround panel, air tube covers, under tank side panels, timing belt covers, battery bracket, ignition cowl, dash cowl, brake/clutch fluid reservoir brackets, Fuel cap. I have a start up/walkround video available too. see https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/1098-rebuild-restoration.90121/ for the full story and loads of pics. The price is £8000, bike located in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.
I have a 1098s as well that has been unridden for a while. I can't believe how little money they go for. They are an amazing ride and for £8k I don't think that there is anything better value on the market. It will make for a very happy buyer. Good luck with the sale
it really isn't fair Max? you clearly have pampered this bike so that it's far better than standard not to mention the extra performance parts thrown in, yet it's going for the price of a standard bike, and still no-one's picked up on it. I wish you luck selling, and soon. Just an idea, but if you add an approximate location in the country it might convince someone to at least come and look for starters.
Thanks mate, It's listed in the original ad but for confirmation it's located in Gateshead, NE11. I get it's the wrong time of year to be selling a bike but it's likely I'll be out of the country again all of next summer too so it'd make sense for me to move it on before then rather than have it sat around doing nothing for another year, I'm not about to let it go for next to nothing though..
