What's A Mg Le Mans Mk 1 Really Like..

  1. It remains a LeMans thread, just not as the original poster envisaged. :cool:

  2. I didn’t buy one although looked at quite a few, I was hooked on the blue version which didn’t seem to come up very often. Prices seem to have steadily increased, not as much as I thought compared to a Ducati 750 Sport for example, but would still have been a good investment 10 years ago.

    Not sure I could ride one these days, or any sports bike tbh ..

    Still think they’re a crackin looking bike..

  3. Thread resurrection - thought I'd add to it, whilst not an LM1, rather an LM2 with the 1 style fairing, I'm still enjoying mine.

    For a 45 year old bike, it's very capable, can still keep up with most traffic, brakes are very good, is reliable, low maintenance so cheap to run, 240 miles on a tank, plus free tax and MOT exempt, what's not to like?

    Here's an action shot to keep the interest up;

  4. Takes a couple of minutes to get going, but interesting visit to a time before quick shifters and 'fly by wire' throttles....

    At nearly 50 years old, still one of the best looking bikes from the 70's, imho...
