  1. His video on his channel is SUPER punchy basically saying he’s been in teams on the way down and past their best….

so he really really needs to deliver this year or he will have egg on his face big time

  2. Interesting too.

Josh is a versatile rider but didn’t seem to click with the BMW. Hope he goes well on the blade.

  3. Should be an age limit in BSB. If you want to carry on racing at that age go dick about in Superstock or what have you.
Would much rather see young riders coming through getting these opportunities.
Sure i'm in the minority though (again).

  4. It's not just about talent though, is it ? If you don't bring sponsorship, doors don't open :( Andy

  5. Any idea how much a rider like Brooke’s brings to a team? I’ve no idea what we’re talking about ££ wise.

  6. I wonder why *someone has never tried to get a firm like INEOS involved in uk racing.
    Billionaires ✅
Love two wheeled sport and already spend millions a year (cycling) ✅
Would cost them a fraction of the cost of buying a small stake in Man Yew ✅
    Great publicity/marketing/branding ✅

  7. because literally 100-200k people watch BSB races in total, that’s its entire reach. It’s great in my eyes but not worth turning the page for big sponsors.

I worked for Vodafone, and saw the details regarding the McLaren deal, not only was it totally eye watering money wise but the sort of stuff the team had to do, no BSB or bike racing team would be able to support that let alone be worth it.

and at a guess, only about 4-5 people are earning money as a ‘salary’ in BSB, famously first year Josh Brooke’s rode for PBM he earned £300k and was probably the best paid on the grid, then he went a season without featuring in the top 10 and Paul offered him a £30k a year contract but with something like £2500 per win or something daft as a way to motivate Josh.
