Now that's a number plate! No.1 It was the very first car on the island of St.Helena, my father restored it in around 1955. The picture taken by a friend of my parents, shows my Father driving with my Mother in the back seat of the Austin 7 which was finished in a "baby blue" with natural calico interior by my Mother. No, My Father worked for Cable & Wireless & he was just stationed there for a couple of years before I was born (in Hong Kong - but I'm not Chinese)
Mustang with "FA57 PNY" - Excuse the rubbish pic but taken off the dash cam and was as close as I could get in my transit
St Helena ... Its one of a very small list of places I'd like still like to see. Maybe one day. I quite fancied the boat ride out there on the mail ship, but AFAIK thats all finished now.
