Did Suzuki ever get around to sorting the Kettle’s propensity for the middle cylinder piston seizing ? A chap on my housing estate has one in his small collection, which he infuriatingly just rides around the estate. Andy
Never been aware of middle cylinder seizures but the middle carb does have a different size main jet so under sizing could potentially cause it to seize.
My aging memory is telling me, from the launch in 1971, there was a problem with the earlier models’ middle cylinder overheating and subsequently pinching up. The larger carburettor jet may well have been the solution. Andy
My dream bike! The "waterboiler: f....ing beautiful .. until I saw the 916 in 1994... .. Suzuki and Kevin S.. "eat your heart out" I always wanted one and still open to offers for a decent 750/3 2 stroke. ;-)
New to me Husky 300tpi in one of the many dry riverbeds over here, it's great to be back on stinkwheels, unbelievably grunty from a few hundred rpm and still takes off like a scalded cat like a proper 2-stroke, lovin the retired life.
Haven't been in the UK for nearly 4 years (except for a brief visit in January) best move I ever made, I wish I had done it years ago, I love Spain, the only 2 problems in Spain are the paperwork (nightmare) and the language, it's hard to learn when you're 60 and your brain is full of other useless stuff.
1996 JDM only VJ23 … the last and greatest of the RGV250s. Different long-stroke GP-inspired engine, fully adjustable suspension, dry clutch … it feels proper race-bike … kinda like a miniature 2-stroke version of my 996SPS https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/suzu/suzuki_rgv250sp 96.htm I have this one and a blue one
snap, sort of…. Sold mine a few years back to buy my house, tbh the engine was a massive leap forward in tech and was so useable but I preferred my RS250 for thrills
