Termi, Is It Worth It?

  1. Had the 2022 1260s for over a year and what a great bike. Had a lot of fun on it through the Swiss alps.

im able to save about £500 on the termi exhaust. It’s a heavy investment, has anyone else made the change and is it worth it in terms of power, performance and ride.

the noise, I guess I’ll have to live with. I’ve had the v4s with akros and probably part deaf anyway lol ..

Just looking to get thoughts before I commit

  2. How much is it?

  3. It’s about £2100 delivered then 3 hours fitting

  4. It better be good for £2K!

  5. Why that much? £1400ish from AM motor in Italy. You’ll need an up map with it though.
They often come up second hand as well, eBay etc.

    So you’ve gone from a V4s to a 1260 twin, interesting.

  6. I had the full Termi system on my 1260S. Worth every penny in noise alone. But always wear earplugs unless you’d like your ears to bleed after riding for 5 minutes. :)

  7. No. Get an Arrow can instead. Great value and sound

  8. Prob not worth the hassle of importing then finding the map or issues with fitment. May even be import duties. I’ll look into tho

  9. Getting old too, the Diavel has a comfy riding position

  10. Earplugs are always a must. Did you feel the performance improvement was worth it?

  11. I don’t ride like Marc Marquez……..more like Dani Pedrosa so the extra power is lost on me ;)

  12. OK so the noise is the best thing, yet its so obnoxious you can't stand more than a few minutes without earplugs. I'm missing something here...

  13. Didn’t say it was obnoxious. Just very, very loud.

  14. Ah OK! The bleeding ears reference an the inadvisability to actually listen the sound umuted threw me off for a moment. LOL!

  15. Just obnoxious for everyone else ;)

Noise was something I got a hard on for in my 20’s, see no point in loud bikes at all on the road. Talking Akra/termi no baffles loud.

Two s sound batter with a new system or can be use the note deepens and, ime, don’t actually get much louder t;Han standard if baffled. In fact I’d say my multis were overall quieter with arrow and mivv I fitted

  16. Is the correct answer :D

  17. Go with a termignoni full system
The deep boom reverberating from tunnel walls in northern Spain is a particular experience I’ll never forget.
With the baffles in place I didn’t feel the need for ear plugs
Also adds extra interest when you come to sell, or sell separately, there’s always a market.

  18. See if you can find one local you can listen to, needs to be for a good few mins, I removed mine from my 1260s when I had one, was great for the first 10 minutes then I was getting annoyed with the constant drone. As others have said it’s loud, and if you need earplugs, think what it must sound like to everyone else. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice sound in short bursts but age and not wanting to piss off the neighbours had me change it back to standard.
If I had multiple bikes, I would have kept it, but at the time it was the only bike I had.
