Hi guys, Im looking to purchase a diagnostic kit that’s able to offer more than the cheap scanner I’ve got at the moment. can anyone recommend a tool that’s able to calibrate the Ducati BBS? I’m looking at a Texa TXB2 but they’re not cheap and wondering if there’s any other options out there? Thanks
OBDStar can perform some functions on the BBS. The most recent update I've downloaded, late May '24, shows the following for my Multi. These are new functions in that release. If you want me to check another model then let me know. If you have multiple Ducatis then the £345 iScan version would work with all of them.
You can download the Excel spreadsheet of which functions are available, on a model by model basis, from the manufacturer website (can't upload Excel files here). Go to this page and then click the 'Function Manual' tab part way down the page. You can then download the latest coverage data. If buying I can recommend BMDiag, see link in my post above. They give good pre and post purchase support. Should be able to answer any questions you have. Very happy with my OBDStar. Used for service light resets, fault diagnosis and enabling accessories on my bikes as well as helping out a couple of forum members too.

User interface looks the same as the OBDStar, big advantage over the iScan is that it covers multiple brands though.
Thanks for all the advise guys. After speaking with Robert at BMdiag I've just ordered the OBDStar MS80 standard kit. Figured with the different bikes we've got between me and the wife then it would be a sound investment, coupled with how often I like to change my bikes, it seemed like the best option. Should be here in a week or so.
