I think that’s the model I have. If it is, I find it very good and replaced one with another the same. Find it fits a bit big and is pretty quiet for a flip top lid. Light enough with good vision area and inner busier works well even if it fogs easy in conditions that create condensation.
I have the previous model rpha -90s carbon, and find it excellent. I'm on my 2nd 90s, and will replace it with the 91 when the time comes. Cheek pads are swappable to get the perfect fit. Very quiet for a flip lid, internal visor and vents are good. The HJC comm system fits and works well too, and is made by sena for HJC Feels like a premium quality lid, always does good in reviews. I was always an Arai man, but wanted a flip for touring, and have been very happy with the HJC.
Tried the standard RPHA 91 at the Sportsbike Shop today and got a carbon one coming to try on Monday Andy
Popped in to my local SportsBike shop this morning to try on the HJC R-PHA 91 and unfortunately, I seem to fall between shell sizes. The internal diameter of the Large, is fractionally too small and feels like it’s clamping my head. The Xtra Large is too big and the helmet sits too low on my head. The staff were great and we spent a long time looking for different sized cheek pads and scull cap. HJC say they are available but it would appear not in the UK During the conversation, it cropped up that a batch of Shoei Neotec 3s have been recalled I think a deep and meaningful conversation with Shoei is forthcoming Andy
Looking at the Rpha91 and buying online, would it be safe to say there large would be similar fit to the shoei neotech large. Anyone worn both?
Not flip front, but I find Shoei does not fit me as well as they used to, I blame the lack of hair on top these days! Now on my second HJC rpha, first an 11…..now a 12. Great helmets, very slightly different fit imo. The flip may fit a bit different to none flip? but would recommend trying on.
I’m a Neotec large, the HJC RPHA large was just too small and the x large was too big. I might have been able to adjust it with different size pads but they just weren’t available. Andy
Thanks guys, was trying to avoid having to travel to the shop for a try is all. Saying it's slightly smaller than my large neotech 2 is promising though given mines a little loose
