This is quite random shit: I'm in the pub. I'll post pictures later as I'm too thick to work out how using just my phone only Anyway, on the Otter and it's really good!! The point is: What was the point? Oh yes; Ignoring the rules, I used pub WiFi to check my bank. And they want me to increase my overdraft limit. So I ask for a thousand! And they approve it! Lesson: Always ask for an overdraft when you don't need it!
Looking forward to an evening sampling the Tim Taylor’s Landlord at the fox and hounds, if the pub hasnt blown away !
I have five in the space of a few hundred metres (not bragging), just got back indoors from the absolute worst weather and they’re all heaving. Love it.
I thought a “local” was just the nearest one to you ,therefore you have one it just might be further than you think!
Well, it’s only around 4.5 % from memory which I would almost say is a session beer.I don’t disagree with Red899 to be fair,it depends how it’s treated.I am only recently back with real ale and it’s got to be right, imported lagers are my go to, peroni red ,Asahi, modelo. Avoid lagers brewed in uk generally. With this weather I can see a wee dram finishing the night!
I’m quite sure it’s 5.4% in my local. If I don’t have a meal I’m throwing rocks at the moon on the way home… John Smiths is a session beer. I get water logged before I get pissed with that stuff.
i cant remember the last time i was in a bar. we had two, but both are now holiday homes. the nearest is 5miles away which is awesome. the Appin Inn. a 17th century bar which feels like it hasn't changed since the day it originally opened and is famous for it's steaks. with thee best view. the old inn appin - Search
a lovely drop - remember it fondly - a session beer for sure. Taylor's rate it at 4.3 O.G. but many stockists say 4.1.
Change of plan for the rest of the Winter, coz the Saturday pub food is better than the senior citizens menu on a Friday. So, Kitchen Garden at Berkeley Castle on a Friday and pub lunch on a Saturday. If the weather is good, I will try walking to the kitchen Garden - should be able to do it - I hope! According to Google Maps, it's about half a mile!
HPA (Herefordshire Pale Ale) by the Wye Valley Brewery is my go to pint. However, we have a Micro Brewery opened up in Stourport, Brothers of Ale, they make a cracking Ale called Bone Idle.
