So Who Will Buy A Bike In 2025?

  1. I've had a deposit down on an MV 921S and was able to secure a serial # to match my 996R by the flagship dealer here in California. Unfortunately since then, even tho the VINs had been issued out by the US DOT for a Jan 2025 release nearly a year ago, several months ago MV pushed back deliveries to Jan 2026. But as of recent months with the crumbling of PMG and uncertainty around the MV brand, I ended up backing out and have moved on. Good thing I did because I have since heard about MV layoffs and PMG also considering MV as "not an essential brand to their vision" WTF that means:rolleyes:

Would have made for a fantastic cruiser tho. Leaves me back at getting a Bayliss Ed. V2 at some point as my next ride.

  2. Possibly get a new bike, would depend on how good/bad the Versys 650 is fully loaded panniers, top box, and pillion too

May look at swapping it for the Versys 1000, or possibly the new 1100 model which comes out next year

  3. Thought you were selling your K4 as you wanted something newer?

  4. The dealers have until the end of 2025 to sell bikes that are not euro 5 compliant. Still should be some good deals though.

  5. maybees. depends on whether i finish my garden project in 2025 or not and if i make the time to get my balance issues corrected. i haven't really ridden since about june/july 23.
i'm quite into the idea of something smaller. scrambler/cafe racer ish. i would need to remove those bowf timing belt covers ect tho.
the lads at work are pestering my to go down the diavil route. we shall see.

  6. Sort of scrubbed that idea mate as the k4 is so good and I love riding it :D

  7. I am and still will be riding, just not touring Europe on my now ex-Ducati. I still have my modified Z650 to use. :)

It'll be on my todd mind as everyone else I rode with has sold up and moved on. I do not need two bikes anymore ;)

  8. I toyed with the idea of getting a Monster and getting rid of the 1200 dvt Multistrada, couldn't part with it, decision made.
I'll make it last at least another year.

  9. I did France a couple of times on a Z650, thought nothing of it at the time, terrific bike, a four into one pipe and a more comfy seat, flying around the South of Frace with no helmet, Bliss.
