Hi all does anyone know how to position the brackets on 1/4 D-rings to attach to smaller 3 holes on the fairing (that connect to the front nose fairing on 848) Any pics or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you. Ferny
Mine appear to be the same as those and just push on. I used the black hex heads which, when fitted, look standard
Finally got into my garage to take pictures of the Dzus receptacles on the nose fairing of my 1098 for you. The ones I have are riveted on, rather than the clip type you have.

You may have problems using the type you have bought as the original set up is for wellnuts and bolts. You may have to purchase pop rivet type to do the mod, even then there will be modifications required.
