One thing after another lately, after a morning ride got back and was about to wash the bike and noticed this looks like a leak from the end of the brake line, any tips on what i need to do before i crack the spanners out?
Wash it off first and then watch closely for the staining to reappear, that will dictate what you need to do to repair the fault. Can't do anything properly until you know where it's coming from.
It doesn’t look like brake fluid to me. As suggested by @Hughdg, wash it off first and see if it is coming from the brake, it could be something that has been thrown up, a glob of something that has landed just there and then run down. You may have noticed a reduction of braking efficiency or extra movement in the lever if it was a leak.
wash it off and tighten it up if not theres a couple of copper crush washers might need changing, they are like 70p
Thinking about it, if that is brake fluid that has appeared over a relatively short period of time you would also now have air present in the fluid and a noticeably spongy lever.
Checked again today and no signs of leaks, there was no sign of anything untoward at the lever and fluid level looked unchanged, maybe something soft and wet (sounds wrong) hit the line while i was out and run down the line/calliper) I guess safest thing is to continue to monitor
